Fishing Pictures
My husband and I live on a premiere fishing lake in central Minnesota. It is estimated that the next state record muskie and small mouth bass will be caught in this lake. Prior to moving to our lake home we made several fishing trips a year. We both enjoy fishing and have taken many fishing pictures through the years. Now that we live on the lake it seems our collection of photographs is growing monthly.
When you live on a lake you have more company and over night guests. This is fine with us because we enjoy entertaining and sharing our beautiful spot. When ever a guest catches a fish we take pictures. About every 2 months we are developing films that are loaded with fishing pictures. We decided that we need to come up with a system of handling these pictures that will allow those that have caught the fish to enjoy the photographs.
We decided to purchase a digital camera. We take the camera in the boat or ice fishing house, depending on the season, and take fishing pictures with our guests and their catch. Then before the guests go home we scan and print the photographs on our printer. This way the guest has their fishing picture as a remembrance of the experience and we do not have photographs piling up. We also do not have the expense of mailing the fishing pictures to our guests once we have them developed.
We have been very pleased with the quality of the photographs from the digital camera. I also like the fact that you can scan the pictures and only print out the photographs that you want.
I started going through the fishing pictures that we have taken in the past. The photographs are from all over the state of Minnesota as well as Canada. I have decided that I am going to place them in a large frame that can accommodate several photographs. Then I will hang it in the living room next to the bay window that over looks the lake. This way we will be able to enjoy the fishing pictures all the time, instead of having to dig out photo albums. I am hoping to find a frame that will allow me to easily switch out photographs that are in the frame with new ones.
If this frame of multiple fishing pictures turns out I can always create another one to hang in other rooms of the house or in the ice fishing house. It is always fun to recall the day and the people that are represented in the fishing pictures.
