Kentucky's 2008-09 sporting license year begins Saturday and will include fishing-regulation changes at more than 20 lakes and ponds, along with a gigging, snagging and bow-fishing change that will affect most trout streams.

The most dramatic change will be at Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, where the daily crappie limit has been sliced from 30 fish to 20. The 10-inch crappie minimum length limit on both reservoirs will remain unchanged.
